I write nonfiction, fiction, and poetry. In the past, I've helped Fortune 500 companies and other organizations launch new businesses and products. I hold an MFA in creative nonfiction and poetry from Antioch University Los Angeles and a B.A. in English and communication (Phi Beta Kappa) from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in New Brunswick. After my MFA, I completed a semester of postgraduate studies in fiction at Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier. After college, I studied literature and languages at Harvard University Extension School and the University of California, Santa Cruz. I also hold a certificate in executive leadership from Cornell University.
Here are some of the publications and websites that have published my nonfiction stories: Arizona Daily Star, Chicago Sun-Times, Colorado Parent, The Dallas Morning News, Detroit Free Press, Los Angeles Daily News, MS-NBC.com, Medical Tribune, Santa Fe New Mexican, and ZDNet. My literary work has been published in Blue Fifth Review: Blue Five Notebook Series, Catharsis, Clerestory Poetry Journal, Haiku Journal, Skirt!, and Typoetic.us, as well as on the 24PearlStreet blog and the Silver Birch Press blog. I live in the Denver area. When I'm not writing, I'm out exploring—often with my camera, my hiking boots, my husband, our dogs, or all of the above.
